During the pandemic, Kosrae was able to develop/improve some tourist sites--- Mutunfunack Kayak Site located in Malem Kosrae (kayaking around the mangrove channel from malem to utwac), Uttac Indigenous Hiking Trail located also in Malem Kosrae ( hike is 2 hours and rate average).

It has been pretty quiet over in Kosrae while we get ready to start opening when the FSM decides to open up its borders. The hotel has largely been catering for the local customers so we have been open the entire time through the pandemic and border closure.

We at the hotel have largely been focused on fixing the rooms, doing some repainting around the hotel, ordering in new supplies for the rooms that need updating. Also we have been focused on repainting the boats, cleaning up around the hotel and getting the staff prepared for when the island reopens for guests. We are also starting on working on some advertising and getting ready for the DEMA show in Las Vegas in November.
